Welcome back to another stop on the NEPA Tripe Tour! We are in Pittston today visiting Pozzo to see what they have to offer for episode thirty eight of our journey. We have been on the road for over two years now, and this family run gem on Route 315 might just have the best tripe we have ever tasted. 🍕
In this episode, we dive into a massive menu and try out some unique zero proof drinks and a generous glass of Riesling. The star of the show is definitely the tripe a la parmigiana, which features spicy tomato sauce and shredded braised short rib. It was so good that we almost gave it a thirteen out of ten! We also take a look at the beautiful dining room and chat about the importance of supporting local restaurants that take pride in their craft. 🍝
From the refreshing Lisa salad to the tangy Scarpietta chicken breast with fingerling potatoes and peppers, every bite at Pozzo was a winner. We even got a chance to meet Sammy and the chef, making this one of the most welcoming experiences we have had on the tour so far. If you are looking for authentic flavors and a warm atmosphere, this is a spot you cannot miss. 🍷
