Experience the ultimate day in Athens as we explore the historic Plaka district and score last-minute tickets to a massive Metallica concert! From delicious gyros at the band's favorite local spot to incredible views of the Acropolis, this Greek adventure is one for the books. Our second day in Athens starts at Monastiraki Square, where the energy is high and the views of the ancient Acropolis are absolutely stunning. We take you through the winding streets to find the exact restaurant where Metallica dined just a few nights before. You will see us dive into authentic pork skewers, meatballs, and those famous baby gyros that make Greek street food so legendary. The journey continues through the bustling central meat market, where we discover local delicacies like tripe, and past ancient ruins being uncovered right in the middle of the city. We also take some time to relax with a view, sampling local Radlers and non-alcoholic beers while enjoying fresh octopus and Greek salads under the shadow of the Parthenon. Finally, the highlight of the night arrives as we join 100,000 fans at the stadium for an unforgettable Metallica performance. The atmosphere was electric with opening acts like Knocked Loose and Gojira setting the stage. The sound was crystal clear, and the stadium literally moved under our feet as the crowd went wild. We wrap up the night with some much-needed late-night fuel before heading off to our cruise ship tomorrow.
