We’re officially in Ottawa and settled into our stay at The reStays. After checking in and getting a feel for the room, we headed out for a night at the Hard Rock Casino Ottawa before grabbing dinner at YouYu Noodle Bar. Dinner was exactly what we needed after the drive — Szechuan spicy pork dumplings, Shanghai pork soup dumplings, Hong Kong–style beef chow fun, and kung pao chicken. Glynn had sake, and I went with a non-alcoholic Sapporo beer. No rush, no agenda — just a relaxed first night in the city.
