Embarkation day is finally here and we are boarding the beautiful Norwegian Pearl in Athens! After two epic days exploring the city and rocking out at a Metallica concert, we are ready for a seven day journey through Greece and Italy with a brand new port every single day.
In this video, we take you along for the smoothest embarkation process we have ever experienced at Piraeus Port. From a quick ten euro taxi ride to walking right through check in, we were on the ship in no time. We also share a full room tour of our upgraded balcony stateroom, number 9514, which came with some lovely gold member surprises like Prosecco and strawberries.
You will get a look at the high energy sailaway party featuring the famous conga line as we wave goodbye to Athens and head toward Mykonos. We also explore the dining scene, starting with a tour of the Garden Cafe buffet on Deck 12 and ending with a massive specialty dinner at Lotus Garden. We dive into the menu, the pricing for the specialty dining upgrades, and of course, a taste test of everything from sushi and dumplings to lobster and shrimp.
